The annual block party celebration is on the Irish Channel - 3226 Magazine St. There will be lots of green beer, corned beef, cabbage, and more fun. They are the party at the end of the Irish Channel Parade. - The Irish Channel St. Patrick's Club has done activities, such as block parties, to help fundraise for different charities such as the Special Olympics; the Chrones Benefit Golf Tournament for Chrones Research; The Chefs' Charity of St. Michael's Special School; distribution of Thanksgiving food baskets and active support of The Friends of St. Alphonsus. Parade Day: Saturday, March 15, 2025 . Welcome To The Irish Channel St. Patrick’s Day Club. The Irish Channel St. Patrick’s Day Committee was organized in the Irish Channel in 1947. The current president of the organization is Richard (Dick) Burke, Jr. (son and nephew of two of the organizers; Dick and Paul Burke). St. Patrick's Day marching fee is $250.00 plus $50 for dues for a total of $300.00, however if you pay by the January 15th or march in one of the Mardi Gras Day parades you will receive a $120 discount toward the St. Patrick's Day fee. If you pay by the last meeting prior to the St. Patrick's Day parade you will receive a $70 discount. Our annual block party will be the Thursday before St. Patrick's Day.
